Bar Bambino (San Francisco)

Published by blognuts under Dining, San Francisco Edit This

Bar Bambino is located at 16th Street. Again, one of the many restaurants in San Francisco that is located in a shady area but the restaurant is a gem! The dark wood lends a warm feeling to the place and although a bit minimalist, it still has a cozy feel with the community table in the front. Chandelier is the coolest ever!

I made reservations for a party of 8. We occupied the community table. I wanted to stay at the Patio, I saw how nice it looked with heated lamps and cover but it was raining that night and it was still too cold for my friend (pfft!) The servers were all very friendly, nice looking, and enthusiastic.

For starters, i had the best breaded olives! Yum! For my main, I had Trofie with cream and sausage sauce. Did not want to have anything heavy for dinner but reading the menu, I HAD to try their pasta. My order was interesting. Never had a pasta that looked like that. Fresh cream and their house made sausage with parmigiano- reggiano. Serving was not too much and not too little. I tasted my friends order too and they were all good. I suggest you check out their menu online. You wont be disappointed.

Pizzeria Delfina (San Francisco)

Published by blognuts under Dining, San Francisco Edit This

I was craving for pizza today and I wanted try out something more different than your usual pepperoni pizza or ham and pineapple. My friend recommended Pizzeria Delfina at 18th street.I had their Salsiccia. The fennel was home-made with tomato, bell peppers, onions and mozzarella of course :) There were some pretty interesting pizza on the menu which I am going to try the next time i go back to Pizzeria Delfina. I wanted to try their Prosciutto Pie. Pizza with Prosciutto di Parma, Cacciocavolla (did i spell that right?) or is it Cacciocavallo?, mozzarella, panna and arugula.Oh lets not forget their home made bread stick that they serve free. I think I had 2 servings of those lol!The place is quite small and there was a short wait but I would say this one is worth it :)

Firefly Restaurant (San Francisco)

Published by blognuts under Dining, San Francisco Edit This

One of the first restaurant I went to when I moved to San Francisco was FIREFLY RESTAURANT in 24th St.

The atmosphere was nice. The crowd - pretty young. I was seated on the bar with my friend which we did not mind at all. The place was comfortable.

We ordered the Pre Fix which is any appetizer, Entree and dessert from their menu for only $35 per person.  I had the Shrimp and Sea Scallops Potsickers for appetizer. Sesame Crusted Beef Short Ribs with Shaoxing Wine Sauce, Black & White Rice and Baby Bok Choy for my entree. Chocolate Custard with Cocoa Nib Wafers, Jasmine Ice Cream and Cherry Compote for desserts :)

I should start taking photos of my meal. This place didnt disappoint.  I would defintely go back to this place!
