Foreign Cinema Restaurant (San Francisco)

Published by blognuts at 10:17 am under Uncategorized Edit This

Last week for my birthday, a friend brought me to Foreign Cinema at Mission St.

It was awesome!

The place is pretty unassuming. You drive through a “not-so-nice” part of San Francisco, park your car where i thought could be unsafe, you enter a small white door but when you walk in, candles are lit on the side of the walkway where you will be greeted by an old very polite and warm gentleman and lead you to a very beautiful restaurant.

At the end of the restaurant, there’s a white wall where they play foreign movies at 9:00 every night. This birthday dinner was very special to me and i think my friend did a very good job in selecting the place. It was very well thought of since she knows I love movies and eating! The place was beautiful! The food was great! I had  Alaskan halibut, English peas, baby carrots, nasturtium butter, Champagne sauce and Meyer lemon tart, pineapple-mango compote, cardamom whipped cream, caramel essence for desserts.

My friend had Grilled yellowtail jack, white fig & walnut aillade, grilled potatoes and for desserts, Rose geranium scented crème brulee.

I will definitely come back to Foreign Cinema again in the near future :)
