Laundry Trouble

Published by blognuts under Tips Edit This

I always find myself getting stuck with the washing machine when I need to figure out if my laundry setting should be Permanent Press or Regular washing cycle. I spend about a good 5 minutes just staring at it. Haha!

Well for those who get stuck like me, here’s a good tip from EHOW.

The regular cycle is used for the following types of clothes and other apparel:

• Jeans
• Towels
• Blankets
• Sheets
• Quilts
• Bedspreads

The soil types for this cycle are heavy, normal, and light. This means clothes or other articles that are lightly too heavily soiled should be washed in this cycle. This is due to the washing cycles can be set from a minimum of eight to fourteen minutes maximum. You can use all three of the water temperatures in this cycle.

The permanent press washing cycle is used on the clothes that may or may not need to be ironed.
Such as:

• Blouses
• Shirts
• T-shirts
• Under garments. This would be your unmentionables and socks.
• Jackets
• Sheets
• Baby Clothing

The soil types for this wash cycle are normal and light. The washing times for the permanent press cycle are six minutes to ten minutes. You can use all three washing temperature modes for this cycle as well.

Delicate Washing Cycle

The delicate washing cycle is normally used for sweaters, cotton, silks, and other fabrics that need to be washed with care.

The soil types for the delicate cycle are normal and light. The washing times for the delicate cycle are four and six minutes. It is best to wash your delicate clothes in warm or cold water. Always wash clothing that is more than forty percent cotton in cold water to prevent shrinking.

Video of the Day - Facebook Breakup

This video hits a little too close to home. Guilty as charged! hahah! Have you guys ever fought with your boyfriends/girlfriends over Facebook? What they put on their status, who they replied to, who they poked, playing games all the day when they should be working, who they send hugs or gifts too (teehee!) … how about when your partner tells you they were home all day that day and you see their pictures tagged on an event when he/she is supposed to be home?! lol!

I know that may be a little too much. Im not saying I have been paranoid over Facebook but trust me, some people have!

This video is about couples taking the Facebook thing a little bit too far. hahaha!

Bar Bambino (San Francisco)

Published by blognuts under Dining, San Francisco Edit This

Bar Bambino is located at 16th Street. Again, one of the many restaurants in San Francisco that is located in a shady area but the restaurant is a gem! The dark wood lends a warm feeling to the place and although a bit minimalist, it still has a cozy feel with the community table in the front. Chandelier is the coolest ever!

I made reservations for a party of 8. We occupied the community table. I wanted to stay at the Patio, I saw how nice it looked with heated lamps and cover but it was raining that night and it was still too cold for my friend (pfft!) The servers were all very friendly, nice looking, and enthusiastic.

Bar Bambino

For starters, i had the best breaded olives! Yum! For my main, I had Trofie with cream and sausage sauce. Did not want to have anything heavy for dinner but reading the menu, I HAD to try their pasta. My order was interesting. Never had a pasta that looked like that. Fresh cream and their house made sausage with parmigiano- reggiano. Serving was not too much and not too little. I tasted my friends order too and they were all good. I suggest you check out their menu online. You wont be disappointed.

Youtube Video of the Day - Funny Korean Commercial

This Youtube video cracked me up big time. It is a tv commercial in Korea … I don’t understand Korean, but I assume the commercial is for an Ice Cream. She’s so funny. The ad is so stupid that it turned out to be hilarious! I have to hand it to the girl in the commercial. It is hard to be funny and crazy and keep a straight face like that! Haha! I wonder how many takes it took to get the video right.

If that was me, I would be cracking up like crazy, rolling on the floor and probably will NEVER get the shot right! lol! Enjoy!

Youtube Video of the Day - Im Yours McDonalds

Everyday, I stumble on cool videos from YOUTUBE. Some were forwarded by friends through email, some I see posted on Facebook and some videos I accidentally stumble upon when I go to youtube.com out of boredom. Rest assured, the job gets done. I am immensely entertained even for just a few minutes.

I have decided to share these entertaining videos to everyone (whenever I come across one). I hope it amuses you guys the way it amuses me. This segment will be called… drum roll please, … Youtube Video Of The Day! Tadah!

Enjoy!

This video was shot in New Zealand. It was a project by Family Life Education Pasefika (FLEP), a pacific health organisation. “Random Acts, Island Styles” — ordering food from Mcdonald’s while singing a Jason Mraz song. Too cute! :)

Annoying Online Ads

Published by blognuts under News, Tips Edit This

Online advertising has been with us for as long as I can remember. It works well for advertisers, otherwise, it would not be around so much these days. But gone are the days where online ads were just banners and sky scrapers on the side or bottom or on top of the website. These days, online ads are just plain annoying!

They have media flash playing on your screen before you can even proceed with the website you are looking at or these huuugee ad banners smacked right in the middle of the website .. and on the article you are reading!

And i hate .. really hate online banners that is already blocking your whole article and you cant even close the gaddam thing! No close button or text or X mark. Click it and its still there! Its just there, sitting, plastered, right in the middle and there’s no way for you to go around it or close the ad.

Online Ad

So tell me .. how do I go on reading this article? Ugh!

Napa Valley

Published by blognuts under Dining Edit This

Napa Valley may be one of the coolest place I have been to. Aside from the fact that I am wine lover, that place is just really beautiful.

I would not recommend a particular winery place since I have not been to most of them. But so far, the ones I’ve been to or even randomly picked has not disappointed me. Not at all! Wine tasting prices varies from $20 - $120.

I do recommend though to drop by Dean & Deluca. Yes, the famous Dean & Deluca of New York. My friend and I bought our deli meats there and cheeses and found a picnic area to eat in … with our purchased wine bottles of course from different wineries.

All in all, this is a great treat. A great experience. To make it more memorable, try renting a stretched limo to tour around Napa Valley. Enjoy!

Yogurtland

Published by blognuts under Dining Edit This

Whenever I go to Los Angeles, I make sure I visit YOGURTLAND. Its a self -serve frozen yogurt store. Its like Pink Berry but way better, at least in my opinion. I was never a yogurt fan. But when I tried Yogurtland, I just got hooked. There are about over 10 flavors of yogurt to choose from. My personal favorite is Pistachio and you put your own toppings. Fruits, gummy bears, almonds, cheesecake bits, and many more. I love it!They weigh your yogurt cup to determine the price. You control your own food. Thats cool :)

I remember moving to San Francisco and craving for Yogurtland. Unfortunately, there isnt any in the city and the nearest store is about an hour drive. I still went for it though. Had to satisfy my craving. Lol! :P

Published by blognuts under Dining, San Francisco Edit This

I was craving for pizza today and I wanted try out something more different than your usual pepperoni pizza or ham and pineapple. The fennel was home-made with tomato, bell peppers, onions and mozzarella of course :) There were some pretty interesting pizza on the menu which I am going to try the next time i go back to Pizzeria Delfina. I wanted to try their Prosciutto Pie. Pizza with Prosciutto di Parma, Cacciocavolla (did i spell that right?) or is it Cacciocavallo?, mozzarella, panna and arugula.Oh lets not forget their home made bread stick that they serve free. I think I had 2 servings of those lol!The place is quite small and there was a short wait but I would say this one is worth it :)

Foreign Cinema Restaurant (San Francisco)

Published by blognuts under Uncategorized Edit This

Last week for my birthday, a friend brought me to Foreign Cinema at Mission St.

It was awesome!

The place is pretty unassuming. You drive through a “not-so-nice” part of San Francisco, park your car where i thought could be unsafe, you enter a small white door but when you walk in, candles are lit on the side of the walkway where you will be greeted by an old very polite and warm gentleman and lead you to a very beautiful restaurant.

At the end of the restaurant, there’s a white wall where they play foreign movies at 9:00 every night. This birthday dinner was very special to me and i think my friend did a very good job in selecting the place. It was very well thought of since she knows I love movies and eating! The place was beautiful! The food was great! I had  Alaskan halibut, English peas, baby carrots, nasturtium butter, Champagne sauce and Meyer lemon tart, pineapple-mango compote, cardamom whipped cream, caramel essence for desserts.

My friend had Grilled yellowtail jack, white fig & walnut aillade, grilled potatoes and for desserts, Rose geranium scented crème brulee.

I will definitely come back to Foreign Cinema again in the near future :)
